Darrel “Doobie” Hayes is a lifelong resident of Liberty County, graduating high school in 1979. He is employed with the Liberty County Road Department while serving as School Board Member District III since 1993. Married to Kathy James Hayes, together they have a son Jason, his wife Amber and many grandchildren.
Doobie attends Bristol Christian Church where he is an active Deacon. Hobbies include fishing, hunting, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
